Home Is Not A Place is a 2019 Global Game Jam game by J. Alex Carney and Amanda Leiserowitz. It was made January 25 - January 27 2019. The GGJ 2019 theme was “what home means to you”.

In this top-down collectathon, the player collects balloons that represent memories and things that remind them of home. The memories displayed in the game were crowdsourced from Alex, Amanda and friends, Kelly, Paula and Janel.

The game was programmed by Alex in Unity 2D. The art and animations were done by Amanda in RoughAnimator and Procreate. The sounds are CC0 from freesound.org.
